ORIGIN STORY
Ölvaldi was born the love child of an unorthodox couple; a Goliath male and a Human female. So it comes as no surprise he was rather different from the kids in his village. His mother a Norse woman, named him after an all-powerful Jötunn in the hope he'd be able to grow just as big and strong as his father. It wouldn't be long into his youth, that he would begin to spar and train with the others; often leaving the village to tussle with Goliath's for a greater challenge. Around his 15th birthday, his community would come under attack while he was off hunting; in turn, his mother and father were killed by a rival clan. Vowing revenge he spent the next decade or so hunting down every member he could. His skills as a fighter are growing and his studies of his culture and runes become more adept. These days, his journey has taken him far and wide, yet his hunt for revenge hasn't ended just yet. Some might say it's just the beginning of his tale.
Chapter 1
Becoming a Mercenary was not his first choice, but with a dead clan and little cash there wasn't much to do but hunt down those who killed his kin. As such, this led him to travel far and wide as most of that clan went into hiding after his initial onslaught of retaliation. As fate would have it one of the men he was destined to kill had a bounty on him from another; killing the member he'd earn coin and he'd take on several other bounties. Soon hunting down and joining random groups of soldiers for hire; taking on the life of a mercenary. A tad different from his usual lifestyle but one which suited him quite nicely. That was until he came across what would arguably become an ally of sorts, but that meeting is a story all it's own.
