Childhood |

Lehee Jang (aka Lemmie), was born in Seoul, South Korea and when she was at the age of 9, she moved to the United States due to her father’s business. She attended an average elementary school where she was often time picked on for being Asian. The first person who stood up for her was Jamie Siu, a fellow Asian student who moved from Hong Kong. Lemmie greatly admired Jamie and followed him around as Jamie, who pretended to be annoyed, thought of Lemmie as his little sister.

One day, while Jamie and Lemmie were walking around, Jamie bumped into his childhood rival, Luke Sullivan. The two started arguing with each other while Lemmie tried her best to stop the two. The only way the two stopped was when Lemmie started to cry. The two calmed her down and that was when Luke fell for the adorableness of Lemmie. Luke would often either look or follow Lemmie around, which meant Luke was in Jamie’s hometown a lot more. The more Luke followed her around, the more pissed Jamie got, thus starting their rivalry.

After a year passed and Luke’s father passed away, in order to try and comfort him, Lemmie got help from her designer mom to design his signature V-shaped eagle tattoo. When Lemmie went to pass the design over, Luke told her of wanting to join the army to stop terrorists and to honor his father. Luke began distancing himself from Lemmie, trying not to hurt her, which upset her since she felt she lost a friend. Seeing Luke distant and Lemmie upset made Jamie feel more anger towards Luke.

Teenage to Early 20s |

Lemmie's teenage years were pretty normal as she attended an average middle and high school, making friends with those who have similar hobbies with her. After school, she would hang out with her friends as they watched anime together and played games. She would often also watch Jamie train and still kept their sibling like relationship with each other.

Since she loved and had a passion for anything art related, she decided to go to an art college and become a designer, like her mom. She would major in fashion design and worked as an intern at the company where her mother worked.

Throughout her years of being in the art school, doing summer interns and helping her mom at home, Lemmie became more unhappy. After she graduated, she was hired by a fashion company where the road to becoming a successful fashion designer was definitely a challenge as those in the industry saw her love for anime and games as a joke.

She expressed her feelings towards Jamie as he was the one to encourage her to quit and find something she enjoys to find her happiness. Lemmie, having free time between jobs, decided to try making videos for fun. Her channel, LemmieCat, was a channel dedicated to her passion for anime & manga, fashion and casual games. She eventually got pretty successful with her channel, thus she started focusing her career on being a social media influencer.

Their story:
Luke and Lemmie knew each other since childhood due to living in the same neighborhood and how often Lemmie and Jamie ran into Luke. Lemmie saw Luke as someone who was cool and to look up to. Meanwhile Luke completely saw Lemmie as the cutest thing he has ever seen and completely adored her. Luke developed a crush on Lemmie and would often find himself looking for her or following her, which would enrage Jamie due to his overprotective nature of his “adoptive” little sister.

Lemmie thought of Luke as somewhat of an older brother but a bit different than Jamie. Whenever she was hanging out with Luke, she enjoyed hearing his stories, liked watching him goof around, play basketball and video games on his handheld console. Luke was also the one who got Lemmie into gaming.

When Luke became distant from Lemmie due to the loss of his father, Lemmie felt a bit empty. Jamie would always tell Lemmie that Luke was a jerk but Lemmie tried her best not to think of him in a bad way. She spent the rest of her school life with her new friends, getting some fighting training from Chun-Li and helping her mom with her design work.

Few years later, Lemmie was now working as an influencer, living in a loft apartment with her cat Yuzu. On her day off, she would stroll around Chinatown, seeing what Jamie is up to, hanging out with Li-Fen, or training with Chun-Li. One day, Li-Fen informs Lemmie that Jamie got into a huge fight just outside of Chinatown as Lemmie goes to check if Jamie was okay.

When the two arrive, she finds that Jamie’s opponent is none other than Luke as the two punch each other, causing both of them to fall to the floor. Chun-Li, Li-Fen, and Lemmie took care of the two’s injuries. Lemmie mentions how Luke got the tattoo of the design she made as Luke felt guilty for distancing himself.

Things were pretty awkward with Lemmie and Luke as the two never had a chance to talk things out. Lemmie, not being a huge fan of confrontations, avoided Luke as she would always make excuses of how she was busy due to her influencer life.

Luke, feeling more and more guilty, decided to get some advice from none other than Chun-Li. He visited Chun-Li and Li-Fen as Chun-Li’s advice was to give Lemmie some space as she will come around but Li-Fen had other plans. Li-Fen and Eri, Lemmie’s best friend, both planned to have the two meet at a park at night so they can talk things over. Li-Fen invited Luke so they could talk about the fighting game they both love and Eri invited Lemmie to get advice about life.

When the two arrived at the park, Lemmie, as usual, tried her best to run away from the situation but Luke, being a bit determined, picked her up so they could at least talk. He insisted that he would only let Lemmie down if she was willing to hear what he had to say and Lemmie, embarrassed and not too fond of being picked up, agreed. The two then sat on the bench and spent hours reflecting on their life, mostly Luke, as Lemmie began to understand what he had to go through. In the spare moment, Luke not only confessed his feelings but also confessed it as more of a proposal, causing Lemmie to flush wildly, Eri to be in shock and Li-Fen laughing. Lemmie ends up running away as the next day, Jamie barged in Luke’s gym to kick his ass.

Lemmie visits Luke later on as the two talked about the event at the park but before Luke could clarify himself, Lemmie answered yes. In a shock, Luke escorts Lemmie to her apartment and went missing. Lemmie, worried since Luke hasn’t said anything after her answer and hasn't contacted her, begins to think her answer drove him away and goes into her “worried spacing out phase” (as Eri and Li-Fen call it). Because Lemmie was in this state, Eri decided to take her out of town for the weekend.

Few days after the two came back, Luke showed up wearing a suit, bandaids on his face and a ring. He officially proposed to Lemmie, to her surprise, to which Lemmie answered “yes, silly~” and the two got engaged.
