Eryna was born and raised in Garlemald, hailing from house Schezarius part of the upper class nobility.

Her father, Escanor Quo Schezarius was a Quo of the -NA(haven't gotten that settled)- Legion, A skilled swordsman and sturn commander of his infantry, yet he always displayed the utmost care to those under him even making sure their families were greatly supported even those that were conscripted earning him their fierce loyalty in return.

Her mother, Lucia Cen Schezarius was a famous opera singer known for her angelic vocals and depth of song that stirred the hearts of those that listened gaining her a large amount of popularity so much that the then Emporer Solus would attend her performances during plays produced by the Majestic Imperial Theater Company aiding the troupe's already growing popularity admirers of both would book their seats a year or more in advance the then Emperor Solus was known to attendant such events.

It would be at such an event that the two would meet by chance during a celebratory ball that was being held for Unity day. Often their union was claimed to be that at love at first sight, but with them came the birth of their only child..their daughter Eryna.

Eryna's childhood in the beginning was very rather straight forward for their social standing. Raised with care by her mother and the family maids and butlers until sadly at the age of 5 her mother became ill following coughing fits which sapped her of vigor leading to her wasting away rapidly in less than a year after, all the while her father being there caring for both wife and daughter until she passed taking on all responsibility for little Eryna, he could not allow grief consume to him every and any chance he was not deployed he was with her making sure she had all she needed and wanted to teach her things her mother would have sometimes on rare occasions taking her with him on small deployment trips which she always enjoyed being naturally drawn to the outside world around Garlemald and it's people only seeing much on a surface level she truly believed the Garlean empire was helping the people and wanted to aid in that propose.

At the age of 14 bid her father farewell when he was deployed to the battlefield having full faith he would return just as he always had, but it was not to be... With a heavy heart, 2 years later she received all that was left of him, his gunblade rendered in two. Having lost both her parents all but broke her, becoming but a shell of who she once was into someone that buried themselves in their academics and work resulting in her unintentionally pushing those that cared for her away to reach her goal of becoming a Medicus not wishing for more life to be lost again she wanted to cure the sick, to mend the broken and every waking moment she dedicated to that path she set before her.

10 long years she remained, and during those years progressed her work and the advancement of medical science for saving lives designing and aiding in the construction of new medical equipment, treatments and magitek earning her the Rank of Lux, awards in her field and recognition of Emperor Solus, a high honor that if it had not tasted of ash, but it was something she was willing to grin and bare until the day the old Emperor passed giving way to the rein of the new Emperor, Varis zos Galvus, who ascended the throne. Such inhumane experiments were preformed and encouraged under his rule, during this time Eryna secretly aided those enslaved and destined for experimentation to escape even if regrettably the majority of the time all she could only sneak away were the children sent away by their parents it hopes to be spared from their soon-to-be ill fate.

Had it been months, a years or more? The time flew by in a blur while the empire being in disarray Eryna and her unit soon found themselves on the battlefield of Ghimlyt Dark, for weeks they worked, tired and worn to their bones with their efforts while she did what she could to also aid those from the alliance injured and wounded without being caught but for all the protection she could give... her shields failed, during an air strike from their own resulting in the loss of her whole unit and her being severely injured.

When she next awoke, she was in Ala Mhigan, unaware of how she had gotten there believing it to be a dream, only to realize she was really in fact alive made her overcome with immense grief and riddled with quilt that she was the only one to survive her unit. Later she learned one of her guards had survived, he was a conscript from Eorzea and plead for aid from an alliance member to bring her to safety, which was no small feat for them, they were lucky to not be struck down on the spot. Once things had calmed, talk begin. Being a garlean they couldn't rightly trust in her going by word alone from just one person.
