Backstory:
Before being adopted by Aristoi family, Sigismund had been bright kid though that changed as he approached adolescence, not talking much more than necessary, he got into petty crime and was missing for days without worry on his caretakers side, since then he learned to keep faking and counting on himself. Though all this time there was this indescribable void inside his heart, one day Sig was dragged into the scuffle between Draconian and some wild monster, of course he ran away without hesitation. Sig knew he was out of their league yet there was color to his life. Ignoring all that, he decided to at least get that guy away from monster, it didn't work. The final option was Sigismund awakening or death since they both were on deathbed and Sig did awaken. He did warm up to Aristoi family, though past is not something he readily mentions. Sigismund awareness of world and himself was growing, he decided to change current order.

Sauronmatai is ancient nomadic clan of Dragonslayers, they lived in Sarmatian kingdoms. Most members are much stronger than average human, can manifest dragon scales and use elemental breath, few can use elemental magic. They made "western" dragons extinct, were one of strongest clans, then experienced period of decline and disappeared from carts of history via assault by foreign powers, though they went undercover and most of them are mixed with slavs and other European people to lesser extent
