(character information)
every star eventually burns out
Before the dark settled in… I was what they’d call light.
Warm, comforting, protective, and bright… I was the star for my home; existing before all and after all… both everything and nothing…
I thought nothing would ever go wrong; until the first time I watched what the human world offered. A child, not even a teenager. The city loved me then, back when I was nothing but a spec of my potential… and I loved them so dearly that I would glow so bright that it would burn…
Burn everyone… everything. It was something so simple; a companion giving me a letter of confession only for my smile to be far brighter than safe for humans… the space around me; singed, scorch marks left behind.. ash. I almost didn’t realize what happened; how could I have done this? I desperately began clinging to the piles of soot while crying for help but the people left to witness such an occurrence only backed away with fear… Fear of me.
A few years now; I’ve had a few more blunders.. accidents…. Deaths. It was far too much; I never meant for any of it to happen. The towns and cities would flourish, I’d grow complacent and comfortable… then I’d become happy… Then… everything happened all over again.
I’m not safe, my eternity drove me from the people and now I idly watch, far from any hope of reuniting with the humanoids I care greatly for. A shadow of my previous self; a fallen star.
( man, that probably makes no sense! Long story short? A living star/sun as an apparition of a humanoid being. They get too happy? Then anything mortal or vulnerable nearby may get burnt… So, now they remain mellow, depressed even, and dim. No longer a helpful star of a community but instead a frightening, dangerous outcast of society.)
