Thomas had grown up in a vampire community where they lived in a very large estate on a property with multiple houses his father was the head vampire for a few hundred years before a hunter managed to get a hold of their estate and executed hundreds on the property, his father included. He managed to help kill the hunters with help and took over as head of the estate.
