Psionic Sea: Like Neptune, by feeling the roughness of the sea, she can tell whenever danger is near.
Call of the Mermaid: Her legs can change into a blue fish-like fin, turning her into a mermaid (this gives her the ability to breathe underwater, temperature adaption, swim faster than a normal human, and talk to/ understand aquatic creatures).
Weaponry
Mermaid’s Tear: A lapis lazuli gem in the shape of a water drop she wears around her neck that transforms her into Sailor Nereid. Once she’s Sailor Nereid, the drop turns into a light blue staff that’s three feet long with the drop-shaped lapis lazuli at the end, and a leafy vine.
Moveset
Neptune’s Wrath: A wave of water crashes down on the enemy; very useful when facing multiple enemies.
Tidal Wall: A wall of water that forms into a circle that intercepts enemy attacks; mainly used for defensive purposes.
Tears of the Sea: A fine mist of water is unleashed, which helps heal minor wounds and heal serious wounds a little.

Many years ago, Princess Mermaid was living life happily and protecting her planet, but curiosity eventually got ahold of her. Feeling a huge calling to explore the universe, she chose wisely a new Mermaid to take her spot temporarily and she would leave the planet to explore and wander. She had planned on returning home, but fate had other plans for her. Eventually, the curious light blue-haired Mermaid would stumble upon the Solar System and explore each planet and moon. Feeling at home, she decided that she wanted to make this her new home. After earning Princess Neptune’s trust, she was given a home on Nereid, taking on the name Princess Nereid and becoming second in command should anything happen to Princess Neptune. She did try to relay the message to the Mermaid that took her place temporarily, but that message never arrived. Like the other princesses, she would be reincarnated into the present as a human female now known as Ruriko Mihama to a loving couple living close to a beach in Shimoda.
Present Day
From the moment Ruriko laid eyes on the beach at the age of four and her feet touched the salt water, she fell in love. From that point on, her parents would have a difficult time separating her from any body of water whether at a lake, a pool, or a beach, it didn’t matter. She became Mr. and Mrs. Mihama’s water child. Due to her love of the water, they decided to sign her up for the swim team at age eight, which she still continues to this very day. She and her family would soon move to Tokyo due to needing a bigger home after her parents had Ame, her little brother. At age seventeen, after Sailor Galaxia and the Sailor Animamates appeared, Sailor Nereid awakened inside of her. From the shadows, she would help the Sailor Guardians against Shadow Galactica.
