History Born to a low income couple as a result of teenage pregnancy, life was never strictly generous when Andrew was young. Necessities were met due to the tireless efforts of his father's work, if barely, but that made time and attention a premium. A fact that grew more strained with the birth of Andrew's younger sister Ashley. Where Andrew had always been a well-behaved child, taking after his father's sense of quiet obligation, Ashley seemed to take after their mother, born of a domineering and defiant streak.

Unable to deal with the trouble that was Ashley, their mother left Andrew to watch the girl for most of their childhood, only getting involved to provide meals and handle things the boy couldn't. To his credit, Andrew took to the task quite happily. Having been instructed that it was his job to take care of his sister, Andrew dedicated his time to protecting and seeing that the girl was safe. Their parents clearly favored the boy for this, and would often save money to make his birthdays special as a reward. Ashley, being nowhere near as well behaved, rarely got birthdays at all, a fact that Andrew saved his own money to remedy each year once he realized the discrepancy.

Having few other people to spend time with Andrew and Ashley grew quite close as they aged, viewing each other as the only real stability they had. Ashley was content with this, though Andrew to some level knew that life could have more to it. He strove to be social and outgoing, to make friends and be a part of the community. A fact that his sister, having grown accustom to having Andrew's entire pool of attention, took as a personal slight. This jealousy escalated, and the boy did as he could to appease his sister's ever increasing-malice towards the other children of the neighborhood, girl more so. Ever his father's child, Andrew acquiesced to Ashley's demands almost subserviently, ultimately culminating in the death of a local girl who Ashley viewed as a threat. Swearing an extortionate blood pact to never speak of this again on the accord that he prioritize her, Andrew fell into the habit of focusing on keeping Ashley happy to avoid future such incidents, the guilt he felt for his involvement often manifesting as severe night terrors. Ashley, as Ashley was, held relative indifference to the event.

Andrew continued to try wear the mask of a normal life through their teens and well into the the modern nights, going so far as to press his luck by developing a series of relationships in college which all seemed to fall through around the time that his partners realized that, regardless what they were doing, if Ashley called Andrew would prioritize his sister. Ashley's habit of calling Andrew's love interests with deranged ramblings and encouragements of suicide likely didn't do these short-lived bonds any favors. Though this was an eternal point of frustration for Andrew, he couldn't bring himself to hate his sister for this, a fact that many a night was spent laying awake trying to determine the reason for.

Present Day Sealed in by a quarantine that was caused, according to government officials, by parasites in the water supply, Andrew and Ashley spent three months sealed within the apartment they had shared with their parents. Suspiciously their parents were not subject to the same. Wardens patrolled the halls, tasted with securing the building and delivering fresh food and water to the victims. But as time went on and no food ever came, the wall felt more and more as if they were closing in, a fact not made better by the loss in energy starvation tended to bring. Until opportunity presented itself.

Noticing strange noises from the apartment next door, the siblings hopped balconies and watched in justifiable concern as the neighbor, cloaked in cultist garb and standing amidst arcane runes, summoned forth a fiend from beyond the abyss. A fiend which no sooner appearing wrenched the soul from the cultist's body. Andrew was horrified. It was Ashley that mentioned what a waste leaving such meat to rot would be. And they were so very desperate...

Past the point of moral event horizon, and having at least some energy back, the two reasoned that desperation had gotten them this far. Forming a pact with the fiend that had felled the cultist, offering the floor's security warden as sacrifice in exchange for escape, the two vanished into the night as best they. At present Andrew is still traveling, trying to piece together anything livable out of what life he managed to steal, an effort his eternal hangers-on do not simplify. By any means necessary.
