In the dimly lit workshop, the air thick with the scent of oil and ancient parchment, Travisย stood rigidly, his piercing hazel eyes scanning the array of arcane gadgets sprawled across the cluttered bench. The room was a sanctuary of sorts, hidden from the prying eyes of the world, where the enigmatic Hades Core in his spineย could be examined and maintained. Across from him, Dr. Samuel โSamโ Hargrave, an old Warlock Engineer with a shock of white hair and a robust build, meticulously adjusted his glasses, peering closely at the data scrolling across his vintage terminal screen.
"You're putting on more muscle, Travis," Sam remarked without looking up, his voice echoing slightly in the cramped space. "The coreโs energy flux must be dialed just right, or itโll start frying your nerves instead of firing them up."
Travis grunted, his arms folded across his chest, tattoos stretching slightly with the movement. "Just make sure it doesnโt fry anything, Sam. Iโd like to keep my sanity for a few more years."
Sam chuckled, finally turning to face him. "Sanityโs overrated, you know. But fear not, Iโve been tinkering with these things since before you were born." He paused, then added with a sly grin, "Speaking of which, Iโve been seeing some new patients lately. Vampires, can you believe it?"
Travis's brow arched skeptically, his usual stoic demeanor faltering into intrigue. "Vampires, huh? And you're patching them up now? Seems a bit out of our usual ghoul and ghost routine."
"Times change, Travis. And so do our understanding of creatures of the night. These vampires are nothing like the monsters from your bedtime stories. They have their politics, their societies. They're quite civilized, actually."
Travis snorted, shaking his head slightly. "Civilized until theyโre hungry, I suppose. You're not actually telling me to trust them, are you?"
Sam leaned back against the workbench, folding his arms to mirror Travis. "Not all of them are out to get you, Travis. Just like not all humans are saints. Itโs all about the balance of power, and who holds it."
"Power, right," Travis mused, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm. "Because thatโs worked out so well for us in the past."
"Itโs not about the past, Travis. Itโs about adaptation. Learning. Maybe even a bit of trust."
"Trust doesnโt come easy, not in this line of work," Travis replied, his gaze hardening. "Especially not with vampires."
Sam sighed, walking over to retrieve a small device from a drawer. "I know your trust is hard-earned, Travis. But remember, Iโm here to keep you running, not just your core. That includes helping you navigate these... new alliances."
Travis watched him silently, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. "Just make sure this thing," he gestured to the Hades Core visible under the back of his shirt, "keeps running. Iโll handle the trust issues."
"Fair enough," Sam conceded, returning to his tools. "But donโt shut yourself off to possibilities, Travis. The worldโs a strange place; sometimes, the monsters help us fight the demons."
Travis didn't respond, the idea settling in his mind like a weight. He knew the world was not black and white, and perhaps Sam was right. But for now, his focus remained on the immediateโkeeping his edge sharp and his enemies at bay.
I would absolutely love to write with you. Travis is geared towards more of a modern verse, but I can def make him work for the setting of your choosing. It's a bit late, so I'm terribly sorry my reply to your greeting is so short. I know it can be a bit rough getting a greeting out, so if you are interested, I could def cook up a starter for us.

I think I'm still questioning my orientation overall, but as it stands I prefer females. If it happens, it happens.
That being said.... I could bend his character a bit to make it more amenable to yours. Jaekyung may be an asshole, but he doesn't do narcotics because of his sport.ย If we stick to the webtoon - it could be difficult to mesh Jaekyung's storyline with your character.
Jaekyung could be a hired hitman for the Mafia.
It wouldn't be by choice since his father amassed a fair amount of debt to loan sharks from gambling, and owes the mafia a considerable amount of money.ย Naturally they'd go after him first, but he's proclaimed deceased after having gone off the grid and they purposefully seek Jaekyung instead to pay off the debt.

Given your character's supernatural prowess, I assume she has improved reflexes and strengths that would otherwise make it impossible for the typical human to deal with.ย Regardless of whether/not they are Champion Fighter.
That being said... I'm all for mature themes.
He does err on the side of being physically and emotionally abusive, but there is a heavy promise of character development that we can explore later if interested.
