Born from the ocean and seas, Una is a creature who adores bodies of water with which she can swim and exert her freedom. However, being a selkie, her kind are known to be beings of sorrow and tragedy at every turn.
Una adored her life beneath the arctic waves, taking on the form of a leopard seal and baring her teeth at any prey or enemy that would dare come within eyeshot. Una was a vicious creature of the northern seas, and was undoubtedly feared.
Unfortunately, as many selkie tales go, Una's story took a dive into the depths of tragedy. Upon one morning she surfaced to brush out her hair and bask in the sun, she shed her sealskin and left it nearby, never being aware that anyone could possibly challenge her might. However, when she returned, she could find her sealskin nowhere. Fretful, she searched everywhere for it, except for her very home of the sea, itself. She could no longer touch the water of her once adored sanctuary.
Desperate, Una proceeded to look on land where her sealskin would have disappeared to. Uncertain of where it went, though deep in her heart she had a feeling that someone, or something, had perhaps stolen it from her when her guard was down.
Una is now ever land-bound until she can locate where her sealskin has disappeared to. She always feels a sense of loss and longing, always wishing she could return to where she came from. However, as a result of her spending the past several years on land, she has begun to forget her more vicious, predatory nature of a leopard seal. Despite this, Una finds she's most comfortable with something wrapped around her shoulders at all times, whether it be a cloak, coat, or anything similar.
In the past couple years, she has found herself attending a college academy known as the Ouroboros Academy of Mythos, or OAM. Why she has landed herself in such a place, she cannot say. Her primary goal has always been to locate her sealskin, but she has also found a fondness for the surface world at times. However, her heart still goes out to her ocean home, and will often paint grand murals on buildings and other structures of the undersea wonders that she so deeply longs to be reunited with. These artistic endeavors are completely anonymous, the selkie having never gone public with what she does.
Una has become more and more curious about the world that she is still so very unfamiliar with, knowing that if she is to ever return to her home of the sea, she should become more learned in the shores that can be so alien to the selkie.
Her previous vicious nature has become something of a distant memory to her, but who could possibly say how she may become once she were to have her sealskin returned to her? Such things are still a mystery, even to Una.
1. Una is best played in any sort of setting that is urban fantasy or medieval fantasy. As for settings aside from that, I'm willing to discuss it.

3. I very much prefer to discuss first before beginning an RP. Please don't send a starter without speaking to me first.
4. Can be selective with adds at times.
5. Mature/Dark themes are absolutely loved.
6. Overall, I'm a pretty easy-going admin and LOVE some semi-IC banter between characters, so I'm open to both RP and just chit-chat. I do have Discord, but I prefer to talk/RP a bit before I consider adding.
